About Us

Our mission is to support and enrich the lives
of Clear Fork Valley residents.

What We Do

The Bellville Neighborhood Outreach Center (BNOC) is committed to helping those in need with some of life’s essential items, such as food, clothing, and fellowship.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the BNOC offers:

  • New and gently-used clothing

  • Food for those in need

  • Activities to help enrich the lives of area residents

Who We Serve

We actively support the residents of Clear Fork Valley (southern Richland County, OH), which encompasses 110 square miles. Our service area is defined as the Clear Fork School District, which includes Bellville, Butler, and outlying communities.

How We Operate

We are managed by very skilled and capable leaders and a board of trustees. We're also supported by hundreds of volunteers who provide the best possible service to the community.

We are here to provide assistance and help improve the quality of life in the Clear Fork Valley. If you need help, or if you know someone who does, please:

About the Clothesline

The Clothesline accepts donations of new and gently used clothing. These clothing items are offered to anyone. Our clothing store is currently open 6 days a week, and all items are available for $5.00 / bag.

All income generated from the Clothesline helps us purchase food for our Free Choice Food Pantry.

About the Free Choice Food Pantry

The Free Choice Food Pantry is a mini-grocery store offering a variety of fresh, frozen, and packaged food items, as well as personal hygiene products. The majority of our food is purchased from the Cleveland Foodbank at a significantly discounted cost. In addition, we receive many donations from area churches, civic organizations, businesses, and compassionate individuals. These items are then distributed to families in need (based on financial guidelines established by Job & Family Services).

The BNOC Free Choice Food Pantry gets food from the Foodbank and local donors, then stocks the food, and lastly distributes the food.

About the Backpacks for Kids Program

Throughout the school year, the BNOC partners with Clear Fork schools to provide children nutritious food to take home over the weekend. At the end of each school week, eligible children are provided a backpack filled with nutritious food, which is discreetly sent home with each child.

Each child receives enough food for six full meals. Every week, BNOC volunteers pack six child-friendly meals into plastic bags that are then delivered to the Clear Fork schools. These packages may include a variety of items such as cereal, tuna, peanut butter, beef stew, canned vegetables, fruit, soup, pasta, pasta sauce, juice boxes, and snacks. The backpacks are also used to share nutrition education with the children’s families to reinforce healthy eating habits and lifestyles at home.
