The Bellville Neighborhood Outreach Center has lost a good one in Roger Miller…
We at the BNOC are incredibly sad to have lost one of our amazing volunteers, Roger Miller.
As stated in his obituary, “Roger D. Miller, age 85, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, at Ohio State Richard M. Ross Heart Hospital in Columbus following a sudden cardiac event.”
His obituary goes on to read, “Roger was an amazing husband, Dad, and Pappaw who was proud of his girls and their families. He will be remembered for his welcoming & friendly spirit, and most importantly for all the little nameless acts of kindness that he spread to everyone he met.”
And it’s the same kindness of which people speak that Roger will be remembered for at the BNOC. Roger was a special man who went on our truck runs to Walmart & Sam’s Club every week to pick up donated items. He always made sure the paperwork was right and he was kind to everyone he met.
He was also a man of humility, not too proud to take on any task that needed to be done. He would even mop the floors of the BNOC Food Pantry after he got back from his truck runs.
He will be greatly missed by all of us at the BNOC. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Roger’s loving wife, Eileen, as well as the rest of his family.
Rest in peace Roger! From all of us at the BNOC, you will be greatly missed!
